Please join the Department of Fish and Game (DFG), MassWildlife, the North Quabbin Trails Association, and other Tully Trail conservation partners on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. to mark the signing of a Trail License Agreement between MassWildlife and the North Quabbin Trails Association (NQTA). The event will take place at the Tully Mountain Wildlife Management Area parking lot on Mountain Road in Orange. (For navigation purposes use 75 Mountain Road, Orange and drive to the end of the road.) The DFG and MassWildlife will host a speaking program with NQTA and offer a short walk to see trail work and habitat management activity on the Tully Trail.

Afterwards, the NQTA invites participants to explore a nearby, newly flagged portion of the Tully Trail near the Bioreserve Rock on the Tully Mountain WMA off Tully Road. Park at 485 Tully Road, Orange, at the Busby residence across the road from the WMA.

Under the terms of the approved Trail Management Plan, NQTA may conduct trail maintenance activities on six miles of trail segments of the 22-mile Tully Trail. These segments pass through MassWildlife’s Tully Mountain Wildlife Management Area (WMA), the adjoining Tully Mountain Wildlife Conservation Easement and nearby Fish Brook WMA.
